Braised Chicken with Orange Recipe (Gà Sốt Cam)

Braised Chicken with Orange Recipe (Gà Sốt Cam) is come from many interesting Vietnamese Chicken Recipes. Ingredients:

3 – 4 big chicken thighs or 300g filet chicken
1 – 2 American oranges
1 – 2 tablespoons tapioca starch
Salt, sugar, Magi’s stuff, garlic, shallot, oyster oil
1 teaspoon mixture lemongrass with condensed black sauce (made from soya bean) – Tip: Heat the oil, add minced lemongrass and fry until it is fragrant. Next add condensed black sauce into pan and fry quickly in 2 – 3 minutes.
Roasted sesame, spring onion

Process:

Step 1: Clean well chicken thighs, separate skin, bones and meat. Slice chicken meat part into medium pieces. The left parts do not need to use. Marinate with 1 teaspoon salt, a little pepper, mix well and wait in 20 – 30 minutes.

Step 2: Clean well oranges, use knife or shaving tool to shave their covers. I recommend that you should not shave to the white cover because it will make your dish has bitterness. Next, cut orange in half, press to get its water (throw away seeds).

Ingredients:

300g rice flour
60g tapioca starch
200g white sugar
200ml fermented rice wine (including rice and its water)
150ml coconut juice
200ml coconut milk
½ teaspoon salt
Pandan water to create color.

Process:

Step 1: Pour fermented rice wine on bowl, use spoon to smash well all. Filter to get 200ml its water, the left part, continue to smash well.

Step 2: Mix tapioca starch + rice flour + salt + mixture fermented rice wine in step 1 into clean bowl. Use spoon to mix well. Next, pour slowly coconut juice into bowl and use food nylon bag to cover carefully, wait in 12 – 14 minutes.

200g wheat flour
50g spring onion

Soya sauce, chili.

Process:

Step 1: Mix wheat flour with ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon Magi’s stuff together. Pour slowly warm water (30 degree) into it. Do not stop stirring when pouring water. Pour until this flour mixture becomes a flour cube and do not stick your hand when testing.
